The China-Central and Eastern European Countries Global Partnership Center (GPC) was officially inaugurated in April 2019 during the eighth China-CEEC Leaders’ Meeting. It aims to bring together think tanks, business communities, and sub-national entities to promote high-quality development of pragmatic cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries.

The GPC is co-chaired by CIIS and a Bulgarian research institution, while the secretariats are established to handle day-to-day operations of the GPC. The first batch of GPC member Institutes include influential think tanks, research institutes, and universities in China and Central and Eastern European countries. The Center engages in a range of key activities, including seminars, research projects, training programs, and exchange initiatives.
