The Asian Security Model: Civilizational Foundation and Practical Innovation
Liu Qing
Rooted in Asia's profound peace culture and the accumulated Asian security practices in the post-World War II era, the Asian security model presents China's solution to the security dilemma, and aligns with the region's historical and cultural traditions. Through the theoretical reconstruction that upholds the vision of security for all, the institutional innovation that embraces inclusive civilizations, and the governance practice that values consultation, this model opens a new path of security for humanity based on dialogue rather than confrontation, partnership rather than alliance, and win-win outcomes instead of zero-sum game.

The Global South Spirit and China's Practices
Wu Zhicheng & Liu Peidong
The Global South spirit embodies the common values pursued by Global South countries and serves as a spiritual guide to promote their development, revitalization, and cooperation in addressing global challenges. As an important member of the Global South's first echelon, China has contributed wisdom and strength to the practice of the Global South spirit. Global South countries must speak with one voice for peace and development, jointly pursue paths toward revitalization, and consolidate the foundation for win-win cooperation. The joint efforts to advance modernization will certainly contribute the Global South's share to a better world.

Digital Competitiveness in the Global South: Dual Challenges and Pathways Forward

Xu Xiujun & Jin Qixuan
In the digital era, the very meaning and sources of competitiveness have been profoundly reshaped, giving rise to the new domain of digital competitiveness. Enhancing the Global South's digital competitiveness is a long-term and challenging task, constrained by both internal and external factors. Looking ahead, the Global South should address internal constraints by advancing digital infrastructure and improving R&D and deployment of digital technologies, and mitigate external risks through deeper South-South digital cooperation and active participation in global digital governance.

Legal Assessment of the United States' "Freedom of Navigation"
Zhang Haiwen & Chen Xidi
The United States has long been conducting "Freedom of Navigation Operations" to challenge so-called "excessive maritime claims." A comprehensive review of related US legal positions and actions shows that the US "freedom of navigation" is packed with self-created legal concepts, arbitrarily-defined standards, and unilaterally-declared customary international law. Embodying distinct unlawfulness, unreasonableness, and double standards, it perpetuates the logic of gunboat diplomacy and reflects the usual practice of the US using military force to pressure other countries, which risks threatening regional peace and stability and disrupting the international maritime order.

US Space Militarization and Its Impact on Global Security
Zhang Dongdong
To consolidate its competitive advantage in space, assert continuing leadership, and maintain control, the United States has significantly accelerated space militarization through expanded strategic deployment, capability enhancement, and alliance building. The rapid US drive for space militarization has reshaped the traditional contours of geopolitical competition. It has not only extended the international arms race into outer space, eroding the existing global strategic balance, but has also heightened the risk of space conflict and even space warfare, posing serious challenges to international space security and governance.

India's Evolving Connectivity Policy: Developments, Drivers, and Prospects
Wu Lin
India's recent efforts to upgrade regional connectivity have focused on energy connectivity across the South Asian subcontinent, maritime connectivity in the Indian Ocean, connectivity partnership diplomacy, and digital connectivity infrastructure. This is India's strategic choice to redefine regional power relations and foster positive interactions between domestic development and the external environment. Despite favorable conditions and significant progress, the effectiveness of these efforts will be subject to shortcomings in India's strategic capacity, constraints imposed by the regional strategic environment, and the growing complexity of major-power competition.
