The Department conducts research on global strategic dynamics and strategic, comprehensive, and forward-looking issues in China’s diplomacy. It focuses on relations between major countries, peripheral situations, and international hotspot issues, and studies the theory and practice of the Global Civilization Initiative. The Department also compiles the Blue Book on the International Situation and China’s Foreign Affairs.
